User Data Deletion
Last updated: September 6, 2026
You have the right to request deletion of any personal data SocialMsg holds about you. This page explains what data we collect, how to request deletion, and what happens after you submit a request.
What data we hold
- Account information: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Customer messages: messages sent to your connected WhatsApp Business, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram accounts.
- Platform credentials: access tokens and verify tokens for the channels you connected (stored encrypted).
- Usage data: logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the service.
- Meta identifiers: app-scoped user IDs (ASID) and page-scoped user IDs (PSID) provided by Meta Platforms.
How to request deletion
Contact us using one of the methods below. Include your name and, if available, your app-scoped user ID or the email/phone tied to your account so we can locate your data.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request and send you a confirmation code by email or phone.
- We identify and delete your personal data from our systems, including messages, credentials, and usage records.
- We complete deletion within 30 days of receiving your request.
- If we cannot verify your identity or have a legitimate legal reason to retain specific data, we will explain the reason in our response.
Removing the app from your Facebook account
You can also remove SocialMsg directly from your Facebook profile: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, then remove the app and click Send Request. This triggers a data deletion request that we process as described above.
